Cataloging
The cataloging department at Muskingum College Library maintains the collection in the Muskingum Library Catalog and prepares new books and media center materials for use.
Most new items are catalogued within 72 hours of their arrival in the library. Then it takes an additional week to process the item. When it is finished, it is put on the new book shelf on the main floor of the library. Graduate Theses require two weeks to catalog and process.
If you need an item that is still being processed, you can speak with the Head of Technical Services Librarian, Brian Kern, to either see when the item will be available or to fill out a "rush book" request.
