Service Opportunities

Some of the ways you join us in helping others include:
The Annual CROP Walk for Hunger is
held each October.
Muskingum College Volunteers
Organized in groups who volunteer time each week to help others
in a variety of situations: tutoring, hospitals, nursing homes,
community youth centers, mental hospitals, a teen residential facility,
and the YMCA. The Volunteer Coordinator in the Student Life Office
(x8089) can match you up with just the right location.
Habitat
for Humanity
Members travel on Saturdays to Cambridge and Zanesville to help
build homes for the disadvantaged.
Work Camps
Groups travel during Spring Break to help in Hurricane Andrew relief
and after Graduation to Washington, DC to work in soup kitchens
and homeless shelters. Contact the Chaplain for
more information.
Church Youth Groups
Local churches sometimes hire college students to work with church
school and youth groups. Some students participate as Young Life
leadership in neighboring towns. The Chaplain (x8120)
can put you in contact with these programs.
