Meet the Coaches
Beth Fox
Head Coach
Beth Fox is entering her fourth year as the head coach of the Muskingum College women’s basketball program.
Fox, who was assistant basketball coach at Muskingum from 2002 to 2004, brings both years of coaching and on-the court playing experience, to the Fighting Muskie team.
Last season, Fox guided the Muskies to a five-game winning improvement over the previous year. The Fish had Jessica McKenzie and Tiffany Youel recognized with all-conference honors. In addition, McKenzie was named Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Week a league-high four times.
Prior to arriving in New Concord, Fox was an assistant coach at Bluffton College (BC) for three years, where she also served as the head women’s golf coach. A 1998 BC graduate, Fox was a four-year varsity performer and a member of Bluffton’s record-setting 1995-96 squad that went 16-9. Fox ranks among the top five three-point shooters in the history of BC basketball and holds the record for three-point shooting accuracy in a game (.667, 6-9), single-season (.529, 18-34 in 1995-96) and career (.360, 45-125 from 1994-95 through 1997-98). Her six three-pointers against Manchester in 1997 tied the single-game trey mark.
A native of Lakewood, Ohio (Lutheran West High School), Fox received her master’s degree in education with an emphasis in sports administration in the spring of 2002 from Bowling Green State University. Fox and her husband, Clint, reside in New Concord, with their two-year old son, Gunner.
Seth Martin
Assistant Coach
Seth Martin is entering his first year as assistant women’s basketball coach at Muskingum College.
Martin, a member of the 1995 Zanesville State Championship basketball team, all-time leading rebounder and second leading scorer in Blue Devil history and high school All-American, arrives in New Concord with a wealth of coaching experience. He previously served as the first assistant coach at NCAA Division II Slippery Rock University (Pa.) and assistant coach at NCAA Division II Shippensburg University (Pa.).
While at Slippery Rock, he worked as the recruiting coordinator, strength and conditioning coach, academic advisor and prepared daily practice plans. At Shippensburg, Martin helped coach the 2005-06 Raiders to their most successful season in school history and served as strength and conditioning coach and academic advisor for post players.
Additionally, Martin has worked as a basketball camp counselor at the University of Michigan, Eastern Michigan University and at California University of Pennsylvania.
Martin, a former Street & Smith First Team All-American in college, received his bachelor’s degree from California (Pa.) in 2002. He ended his playing days for the Vulcans ranked 10th all-time in scoring with 1,459 career points.
Martin also serves as the head women's golf coach at Muskingum.
