Muskies fall at Otterbein to end the season
NEW CONCORD, OHIO, October 27, 2007 - The Muskingum College men's soccer team fell on the road to Otterbein College on Saturday afternoon to finish the 2007 season by way of a 2-1 final score.
As a team, the Muskies garnered 17 total shots, while junior Morgan Brown and senior Adam Davis led the way with four shots apiece. The Muskies' goal came by way of freshman
Derek Simonette, who also had four shots on the day. Simonette's goal came early in the contest, as he scored with just under six minutes of play expired, by way of freshman Heath Zealer's assist.
Senior Chad Dixon filled the goalie position for the entire game and allowed only two goals and recorded 10 saves. Otterbein scored two goals late in the game to hold off the upset-minded Muskies
With the loss, Muskingum finishes the season at 4-14 overall and 0-9 in OAC play.
