Muskies notch road win at Franciscan
NEW CONCORD, OHIO, September 2, 2008 - The Muskingum College women's soccer team remained perfect on the season after beating Franciscan University 2-1 Tuesday.

Freshman Nicole Langston put the Muskies up 1-0 with her first career collegiate goal in the sixth minute. Langston tallied the strike on a breakaway from a through ball from Christine Ward. Franciscan tied the game in the 49th minute on a loose ball in the box. Muskingum junior Shelli Fisher provided the game-winning tally with her first career collegiate goal in the 71st minute. Fisher took a pass from sophomore Alissa Anderson and blasted it past the Franciscan keeper.
Senior keeper Princess Tarrance played all 85 minutes in goal and recorded three saves. For the game, Muskingum outshot Franciscan 17-12 and held a 2-1 edge in corner kicks.
The Muskies (2-0) hit the pitch next when they travel to Thiel College on Sunday, September 7. Game time is slated for 1:00 p.m.
