Text: The text for this semester is Panksepp's "Affective Neuroscience". This source will be supplemented throughout the semester with other materials as appropriate.
Evaluation: Your grade in the class will be based on your performance on 4 exams covering material from the lectures and lab projects. Your regular attendance at class and lab, contribution to classroom discussion, and written lab projects are also important parts of this course and will contribute substantially to your grade.
Points:
- Three Exams [100 pts ea]---300 pts
- Comprehensive Final Exam---200 pts
- Four Lab Projects [100 pts ea]---400 pts
TOTAL---900 pts
Grade: The letter grade you receive will be based on a percent correct basis (of 900 possible points) using the following scale:
- 93% & above: A
- 90-92%: A-
- 87-89%: B+
- 83-86%: B
- 80-82%: B-
- 77-79%: C+
- 73-76%: C
- 70-72%: C-
- 67-69%: D+
- 63-66%: D
- 60-62%: D-
- below 60%: F
